I specialise in creating beautiful, natural smiles for people of all ages. Treatments include virtually invisible clear plastic aligners and tooth-coloured fixed braces to straighten and realign teeth, reduce overcrowding and close gaps.
I'm passionate about what I do and dedicated to providing patients with an excellent level of personalised service in a friendly and caring environment. Please visit the Testimonials section to read about some of the hundreds of happy patients I have treated.
Treatment is most effective when patients are fully engaged in the process, so I work hard to ensure that I guide every patient through every step of the treatment, from their initial consultation and face-to-face discussions of their ideal treatment plan to their regular treatment visits, ensuring they gain the knowlege and understanding to acheive the best results. Myself and my great team are always on hand to answer any questions and concerns patients may have along the way. Many of my patients want to improve the appearance of their teeth in time for a special occasion such as a wedding, birthday or graduation, and I love to help them achieve results in good time for their big day.
After the active treatment is complete, it doesn't end their, i will design a retention plan to help every patient care for that new smile and I monitor the results of the treatment for another year to optimise long term stability.
I see first-hand how orthodontics can transform not only a patient’s smile and appearance, but also their emotional and physical wellbeing as their confidence in the way they look grows.
I am registered as a Specialist Orthodontist by the General Dental Council. My passion for orthodontics has now led me to establish my own practice in Knutsford, in the heart of Cheshire.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of Manchester where I won an award from the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry for my study of team care and patient satisfaction.
I went on to specialise in orthodontics and in 2003 was awarded my Master of Science in Orthodontics (MSc), also from the University of Manchester.
On completion of my specialist training, I was awarded a diploma in orthodontics and granted Membership in Orthodontics (MOrth) with awards from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
During my postgraduate work, I also tutored undergraduate students in oral surgery and orthodontic nurses in clinical and digital photography.
I also have a special interest in the research and treatment of cleft lip and palate, the study of which has not only gained me an MSc in Cleft Lip and Palate (CLP) team care, but has also led me into the field of charity work.
I am an active charity campaigner, dedicating time and expertise to improving healthcare in developing regions in Kenya. In the early 1990s, I helped to set up Operation Smile Kenya and I now spends a month each year in the country supporting the charity’s ongoing work.
Five years ago I launched my own foundation helping people with serious health issues in and around Funzi Island in Kenya, alongside teams of local healthcare professionals from the UK and overseas. The charity has grown to involve supporters from the UK who give their wide range of skills and services.
I am a member of the British Dental Association (BDA), the British Orthodontic Society, British Lingual Orthodontics Society and British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
